I would recommend the place because it is right on Kanaelehua Ave (Hwy 11) which has the big malls with all the stores you would need (and the movie theater, etc.), and Kamehameha Ave which goes right into Hilo along Hilo Bay. I had a single, private room, and it was great for $30 a night. It had a mini fridge, T.V., comfortable bed. Scott, from USA ~ 23rd Dec 2012

Worst Hostel ever. No breakfast as written, they charged me the transport from the Airport. ( because i arrived at 9,20pm..) and lots of other stuff.It is also very dirty. Anthony, from France ~ 15th Nov 2012

If I were the manager here I can see so many things that I would do to make this place more appealing, clean and cozy. Mark is a kind enough fellow,but not a person that creates a homey atmosphere. A coat of paint here and there would do wonders!! Ria, from USA ~ 7th Mar 2012
