this place is good, the owners were helpful and nice, close to everything, just the stairs going up to hostel are a pain! specially if you are drunk.

safe, clean, famiy run hostal on the 5th floor with no elevator; will use this hostal again. close to gran via metro, madrid vision tour bus line etc.walking distance to many tourist locations (if you like walking) they only take cash.

Having no lift is not a problem as it helps you yo get fit! Maybe the bedroom walls in room 9 could get a clean new covering of paint on them. The water pressure in the shared bathroom can be a problem if someone else is having a shower elsewhere in the hostel, but this is probably because it is a very old house. It felt more like being in someone's home...very cosy. The family were most helpful when I had questions, especially maria who could speak good English.

Location was REALLY good! Not directly on Gran via- but this is a GOOD thing because it is way too noisy and touristy. However it is near ALL the tourist hot spots. There's lots of shopping right outside the door and great places to eat just a block away on Libertad. Staff are super friendly, we got fresh sheets and towels everyday and our room and ensuite were cleaned every day as well. highly recommend it!
