I liked the hostel but this what I like to get better. 1- change the breakfast & dinner time to be earlier. 2- Having a computer & printer to make it easier for someone forgot to bring his pc or print his check-in. Diaa, from USA ~ 11th May 2013

Monica, hostel owner, was very helpful in getting me acquainted with the area around the hostel.I also found the breakfast and dinner at the hostel to be quite nice....the chef was very accommodating when I was late one night....made you feel like I was in a restaurant....very unusual for a hostel to actually serve you.I love this hostel and would recommend it to everyone. We have just stayed at Quetzal this week. We are a retired couple and this place is really for young people. The staff allowed BLARING music before and during dinner. Many of the amenities listed no longer exist, no bar, no tequila during dinner, and meals were late and skimpy. That said, the place was very clean and comfortable enough and Monica who seems to run the place was very helpful and welcoming. The 20 something guests from all over the world were delightful. Quetzal was definitely the best hostel that we stayed at in Mexico. It is social, fun, and has a great staff. The place is well-decorated, clean and has great facilities. The staff are friendly and help to make the atmosphere. There's free breakfast and dinner where everyone gathers and socializes in the garden. At Hostel Quetzal you are treated better than VIP. Monica literally takes you into her home and treats you like family. I've only stayed there once, but I spoke with several repeat guests who surprisingly shared a common story. Namely, Monica has a remarkable knack for remembering who you are upon returning. And I'm talking about more than just your name, like personal things unique to you. I feel this capacity of hers is due to her being truly, genuinely, and sincerely interested in her guests.
