I loved the hostel very much it's so beautiful, clean, smells nice, stuff was great and very helpful. The other things like: kitchen is very good and has everything you need to cook. fridge was crowded and dirty (but I left on a cleaning day so cannot judge the situation in general) Location was perfect if you're in Amsterdam for sightseeing (daytime) Only 5 min to the metro. Hostelle is an ok place to stay. The main problem is that its quite far away from the center of the city, so if you want to get back home after midnight, you either have to spend a fortune on a cab or try and figure out how to get back home using public transportation with no metro, in Dutch. On the other hand, the staff is nice, the hostel is clean, and so are the bathrooms, the dorms are warm. Id say its pretty darn good for the price I paid... Naomi, from Canada ~ 9th Mar 2013

DO NOT USE THE LOCKERS!!!!!The lockers that are provided in each room are not secure at all.They do not have a top and may be accessed by lifting up the mattress however, the owner provides you with a lock assuring you they are safe.I would not leave anything valuable in the room.On a more positive note, the hostel was clean. This hostel is excellent! Clean room, friendly staff! I really like there! But this hostelis far from center anddifficult to find it when I came first. They have just small sign board front of building(it 's safety system for "female only hostel", but..I couldn't find this)and NO informationshow to come in this hostel. A really good hostel! It was clean and fresh and I felt very safe and welcomed. I recommend this to every girl that is backpacking. I don't think the location is a problem. Of course you need to take the metro to come in and go out, and every trip takes about 15 to 20 minutes (you'd better carry a book with you :)), but apart from that, hoetelle is well located and very easy to find, and the staff is just SUPER helpful and warm-hearted.
