The staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions on places to go, things to see, bus information, etc. The common areas were well kept, big, and very inviting. I loved my time at HI Austin I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting. Kelsey, from USA ~ 4th Mar 2013

Even though we only stayed one night it was clear to us that the hostel was a really welcoming place. The location and the atmosphere really made us want to stay for a few more nights. It was a little bit crowded during the F1 race weekend, but it the way you can meet a lot of different people from all over the world. Also the staff helps me to find really iconic bars in the city. They have a large parking, that's great for a hostel. Dmitry, from Russia ~ 17th Nov 2012

I think it was too expensive... I had been travelling around Texas and the average I paid for a night is 22 bucks at cool hostels.. this one was 30 bucks and I think it was too much..!!
