The hostel has a lot of charm and is in a great location in walking distance to all the temples. They have decorated it with all these cute drawings which make you smile. My only real complaint is you can't check into the hostel until 4 pm which is kind of inconvenient when you first arrive and want to get settled. Also there isn't a lot of options for dinner in the town of Nikko, since many places close at night - make sure to get some recommendations. Other than that we enjoyed our time here. I loved staying here! My suitcase broke so they drove me, for free, all the way to a shopping mall to buy a new one! It's placed no more than 5 min away from the world heritage temple area. Definitely worth every penny! Camille, from Denmark ~ 13th Feb 2012
