If you're parcial to a bit of gambling this place is really close to the Sky Tower Casino. You can also place bets as to whether you will get a mug with a handle on it or not when you wake up in the morning, my guess is leaning towards the latter but thats something for you to look forward to at breakfast I suppose. room without windows and air condition, very muggy and dirt on the floor. worn out mattress. dirty kitchen. would never stay there for one more night. the bar isn't bad and the location is in the center, but thats the only good thing i could tell. Evi, from Italy ~ 30th Dec 2012

Room was freezing cold as there were no heating and the windows were leaking. The mattress was thin and the ribs below were missing, so I would bascially fall through it or lie very uncomfortable. The kitchen on my floor was cramped and disgusting (though that can be contributed to the people at the time perhaps) - compared to the other places I've been in NZ - I am not going back to this hostel.
