Excellent place.Felt like a hybrid of a hostel with an old-school boarding house.The owner was very friendly and showed us the space before officially charging us for it, which I thought was nice,The location was incredible, being in the heart of the historic district and just blocks from a large park, great coffee shop and a plethora of pubs and historic sites.It felt a bit grimey, like it could use a good scrub-down, but on the whole we were very satisfied with our stay. This place was solid. Management was chill but competent. The place was clean and quiet. Had a laid-back atmosphere, but all my needs (which were not many - towels, maps) were met. Would stay there again. Megan, from USA ~ 13th Oct 2012

I stayed 3 nights in the off-season and saw only 1 other person in the main building where my double room was (nice 4-poster bed & balcony facing the front). The digs were very clean, peaceful, quiet and spacious with a TV lounge and kitchen but there were no pots or pans, only 1 kettle and some plates, bowls & utensils. But the location was great - free shuttle stop only 1 block away & also a Kroger supermart.
