The location is great. The staff was very nice. Not as social a place as I expected. They didn't have hand towels in the bathroom which I didn't like and i didn't care for their breakfast. St. Christopher's is fantastic if you want a party-friendly, community atmosphere. I made several good friends here and drank way more than I thought I would (there's a bar next door where you can get slight discounts). Clean rooms, decent bathrooms, and a great common room. It's near London Bridge station, which can take you anywhere in London quickly. Security is good. The larger rooms tend to be noisier, so light sleepers be aware. Evan, from USA ~ 9th Apr 2013

The showers are a disaster.Water is inconsistent in temperature and there is visible mold.I wouldn't recommend the Village, but might stay there again because of the location.The bar isn't bad. Sean, from USA ~ 31st Mar 2013

I was only there for one night but liked it very much. There was a bar downstairs where you could meet people, but my room was quite nice and quiet when I wanted to sleep. amazing city-hostel! you feel welcome with the first step entering the door. friendly staff, great beds, great lockers, great breakfast (cereals, wholemeal/normal toast, coffee/tee), yes, it's a party hostel. but many people seem to be there because the expect entertainment from either other guests or the staff. you won't get that - do something! you can party hard with fellow guests, in london itself or in the bar/downstairs club. it's about getting communicative and having a great time Clemens, from Austria ~ 13th Feb 2013

I only spent one night in this hostel, but it was easy to find and the staff was friendly when I arrived at 5:30 am instead of the night before due to weather. The bed was comfy, room was spacious for an 8 person bed. I didn't see the showers, the toilet area was alright. Jessica, from USA ~ 18th Jan 2013
