FRESH @ The Green Man, Paddington in London, England

Overall, my experience staying here was pretty good. It is a good place to stay if you are looking to just get by during your stay in London. I definitely got what I paid for, but it was decent for what I got out of my stay in London. I never had a problem with security. I brought my laptop and was able to lock it up in a locker in the room. Padlocks are available for 5 pound if you don't bring your own. The breakfast was mediocre, only consisted of toast, cereal, and coffee, but it was enough. Emily, from USA ~ 4th Apr 2013

The place is nice, clean, with great service and facilities considering the price. I stayed in another hostel that belongs to the same company (The Crown), and showers in this one are smaller, that's the only "drawback" I see. I stayed in a 9-bed mixed room, and it was fine. Lockers are in-room (small, but big enough for a laptop, a camera, passport, etc.). Breakfast is fine, and the atmosphere in the pub downstairs is very good (BTW, although there's a pub in the ground floor, rooms are quiet). Nazareno, from Argentina ~ 22nd Mar 2013

Downstairs is a typical English pub, not a bar designed for youth hostel goers. This may be a good thing for some but might be disappointing for others. In any case, for this price and location, it's a pretty neat little place! Very very clean, very impressed. Raymond, from England ~ 22nd Mar 2013

It's the best hostel that you can get in the city center ! Internet is slow.. They play music till 12:00 o'clock at the night so if you want to sleep well you should wait till they will close the bar (at 12:00) ) The rest was fine ! EMMANOUIL, from Greece ~ 22nd Feb 2013

I stayed in the 18 bed mixed dorm and it was basically that, a big room with a few 3 story high bunks. I caught a bus to Stansted quite early in the morning, and it was very convenient for that.The facilities were kept up and I felt safe - although walking through the front door (and through the pub) to the hostel area I had a few guys call out, but you can only get into the hostel if you have a key card, so that was ok.
