Six bed female dorm was so tiny. There's just six beds and NOTHING else. Only tiny tiny lockers without locks. Staff seemed fist very nice and helpful but when we had some problems and tried to ask help they we're actually rude and I felt like they we're laughing to us!! I've visited in many hostels in England and this was absolutely the worst! I can't recommend this to anyone. Only good thing was location. I wrote that the security is bad, because it was my fault. Probably the cleaning stuff took a whole bag of cigarettes while we were out of the room. But generally is the security very good. Denis, from Slovenia ~ 8th Nov 2012

The rooms are tiny and you can't sit up in the beds. The lockers are only big enough to fit a handbag. It is what it is: a cheap place to sleep. This is a good place to stay, very good central location next to a tube station.I stayed in a 18 bed dorm and I liked the fact that even though there are triple bunks, the beds are quite sturdy so they don't shake much if somebody climbs the stair or moves in the bed.They clean the rooms and bathrooms daily.I think the safety of your things in the dorm might be an issue so make sure to put stuff in the provided lockers (some of our things were kind of moved around,found them outside the room!) One of the best places I've stayed. Such a good experience for the cost. Right above a great pub. Room lock individual and also from the pub/outside. I felt safe. How can you not say great things about a hostel where you check in at the bar?!I was in the 15-person room and was surprised that the locker provided wasn't large enough for my bag.The other hostels at which I had stayed had large lockers.I put all my valuables (laptop, cash, etc) in the small lockers and hoped for the best for the rest of my things. It's more like a pub with a hostel upstairs. Very friendly staff, great ambience, clean and directly at the tube. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Oxford St, Baker St(bus)... Great if you are on your own and wanna meet people. Would definitely go back!! Patricia, from Spain ~ 17th Jul 2012

Loved the Green Man Hostel and Pub! Your staff is great. Just a reminder to be diligent about keeping the security door shut between the pub and the hostel rooms. For the 3 nights I was there it was open off and on through each day and night. Should be closed 100% of the tine when the pub is open to the public.
