el hotel es limpio seguro, el personal es muy amigable y respetuoso se puede ir caminando desde alli hacialas principales atracciones turisticas. lo que le falta son computadoras para los viajantes y algun telefono para realizar llamadas, hay wifi pero no llega al tercer piso donde yo estaba. angel, from Argentina ~ 8th Apr 2013

The place is in a seedy part of town, with a very sketchy walk from the BART. My girlfriend just about murdered me, after our harrying walk through the mean streets of San Fran. But after we snuck down Minna and entered the hotel and met the amazingly courtesious and fun loving night shift staff, we were put at ease. If your traveling on a budget and want your own room, but don't mind waiting for showers, check out the Pontiac. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best I've ever had. My main complaints with staying at this hostel were that my room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I was told by the staff member who checked me in that it was a non smoking room but obviously someone had been smoking in there in the past...a lot and for a long time. My other complaint is that the hostel is located in a pretty sketchy part of town. I felt safe going to and from the location in the daytime but dreaded coming back and walking through the neighborhood at night. Andrea, from USA ~ 14th May 2012
