I like the location its away from the center which is good when in Amsterdam but still only a 10 minute walk if we wanted to go. I don't like the curfew , we had no access to internet or the lounge after 10pm and shower s as well. Which by the way if your above 5 foot will be very uncomfortable also if your a group of three or more don't book it the rooms are too small even for a boat me and my mates had to strategies who got to change first etc. Breakfast was good though free and decent. Great stay with such a lovely welcome by the staff! The rooms are clean, and even though they're quite small, there's more than enough space to move around. Hardly any disturbance with noise too, we slept well through our whole three day stay. The showers and rooms were also nice and warm even in icy cold weather! We didn't get to try the internet connection or the breakfast (though with a glance one morning it looked pretty yummy!). The staff was very helpful with our luggage too! Nice place not far from the center of Amsterdam, in a quite area of the little harbour with other boats and botel. Rooms are tiny (and walls paperthin) but clean and warm, common area is nice (a fridge with cheap beers and many games to borrow included), so is breakfast. Victoria, the owner, was also nice and helpfull - you get a free city map, museums map and a card "to send your mom that you arrived ok" as she said :). Anna, from Czech Republic ~ 20th Dec 2012

Great value- Great breakfast. Rooms pretty small but better than sharing a dorm and large communal space makes up for it easily Andrew, from Australia ~ 1st Dec 2012

4 night stay during the Amsterdam marathon. I found the botel simply great for my needs and wishes. It wasn't teh last time I'll stay :) Joseph, from USA ~ 19th Oct 2012

Staff were great, friendly ambience pleasant, the common (dining room) very pleasant, good breakfast included.BUT the shower/bath situation was untenable. You had to step up on a large step to get to the toilet, it was always WET in there because it was also a shower. The shower (separate room) was tiny and you could scarcely move, not to mention undress and hang your clothes on the door this shower was not even one meter by one meter. The worst thing: it was very noisy all night. It 's a super place to stay for those who like to see city and its people, it's not far from the center, picturesque and unforgettable. We really liked it! Olga, from Belarus ~ 27th Sep 2012

Never stay here. The lady was rude, unprofessional and doesn't know anything on being in a hospitality job. The price was very high for what you get. Shared bathroom is shared with everyone in the botel. Break fast was gross and make sure you eat everything or you will get a smart-ass remark and look. Walls are paper thin and rooms cold. Mattress was deformed, felt like you were going to fall off the bed. Don't stay! abby, from USA ~ 22nd Jul 2012

It is awesome! It is so romantic to live on a boat, so original and so amazing, that I can recommend this hostel as one of the best I ever stayed. Owner Hisse and women, who runs the business Monika are really nice persons and I wish I see them once in future. Konstantin, from Russia ~ 15th Jul 2012
