Worst experience in a guesthouse. I never saw anyone who worked in the place until my 2 hours before my checkout when the woman who supposedly worked there went into my room and stole my laptop and passport. She berated me, would not let me speak, accused me of things I had never done and basically threatened me to get out of the hostel before checkout. In order to get my things back I ended up having to pay double the price of what was owed for my stay. Diane is a complete psychopath! Natashia, from Canada ~ 28th Mar 2013

The time when I was there, I was the only female, but it was OK coz I got a single private room. The toilet can be cleaner and tidier. There are lots of soaps and bottles of shampoos left by the previous tenants. You can use them if you don't mind. It's about ten to fifteen minutes walk from the nearest subway. I've stayed at both World Scholar House and Taipei Hostel. World Scholar House is better, hands down. Why? - Awesome owner. Diane is the best. - Cleaner. Much cleaner. Taipei Hostel (at least the upstairs) smells like mice, and makes you and your clothes smell like mice all day long. Not ok. World Scholar House, on the other hand, doesn't smell badly, is well-kept, and all-around clean. A little cluttered, but clean. - People staying there. It's a smaller hostel, but the people ar Devin, from USA ~ 16th Jul 2012
