The location was great, in the touristic area, very close to bars and restaurants. The private room was small and a little dark but the hostel facilities were really good and comfortable! Mariano, from Argentina ~ 19th Apr 2013

Yaxkin is within walking distance of the city center and bus station. The staff is friendly but only one can speak English. There is a nice lounge with a TV the dorms are clean. Victoria, from USA ~ 27th Mar 2013

Very Expensive hostel, bad atmosphere. There is not brekfast, so, you have to buy at the restaurant of the hostel (very expensive too)...it's better to sleep, near the Palenque ruins, at El Panchan....a little place, in the jungle, with a lot of differents hostels very cheap, very good atmosphere. El Hostal es muy bonito, ecologico y economico, su cocina es buena, amplia, pero los banos compartidos les faltaba limpieza, espacio y se encuentran muchos mosquitos dentro de el. Camilo, from Colombia ~ 19th Jun 2012

No A/C is a problem. Hot, humid and mosquito make you hard to fall asleep. You need to pay $20 Peso when you check out and put the luggage in the front desk. You was supposed to have 10% discount for food in their restaurant, but restaurant staff asked for the full price. There is a woman staff in the morning, with very bad attitude. All in all, very average hostel, just for stop and go... don't even wanna stay more than 1 night WAI KIT, from Hong Kong ~ 26th May 2012
