Pretty average hostel. People didn't seem as friendly as I've grown accustomed to during my trips, but hey, can't win them all. They were accommodating and the stay was fine, so I don't really have any complaints.

The location is amazing and the hostel is generally well kept-up, safe, and nice. Sometimes the staff was not very helpful and I couldn't even find anyone when I needed to check out so I just left. There are cooking facilities (no microwave) but there aren't that many good places to hang out and meet other people in the hostel. I would recommend this hostel because it's easy to find and perfectly situated for walking around the city.

This hostel is great but if you have a bed on the top floor it is like party central and you get no sleep, the bottom floor is much better. This hostel said it had WIFI but it didn't, like all hostels in Russia! Otherwise it was o.k.

Location excellent within walking distance to all sites. No locks on door or no lockers in rooms. Cleanliness was to be desired. There seemed to be disoganisation amongst staff - overbooking and room changing going on... Room smelt like yak! Didnt get sheets for the bed and there was no help regarding tours, information, maps etc. Seemed to be a lively crowd with plenty of socialisation - however the common room is situated outside the sleeping area. Quite loud.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Staff and guests are friendly, easy-going and great fun. Unlike a lot of other hostels, there's truly a communal, co-operative atmosphere here. The entire place is colourful and cosy. The only downside to my stay was the construction going on - all the showers downstairs were being renovated and this resulted in long queues for the bathrooms in the morning. Otherwise, I can't recommend this place enough.
