the room and the house are exceptionally great but its quite far from the city center (30 min bus and train, nothing from 11 pm on). thus, its good for a chillout weekend but not for visiting marseille till dawn.

My husband and I have been backpacking for 5 weeks now, and this is the best hostel that we have stayed in so far! It is like being on a quiet, beautiful little island with access to Marseille. The staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful.

far away from marseille, but in walking distance to a litle town so its easy to get food around there, but staying tere was very nice.
The location could be a problem if the couple who owns the hostel wasnt that nice. So kind of them they tried their best to drive us to and from the metro station to our convenience. The 10 min metro ride would be all worth it when you see the lovely spacious room, with all its big windows viewing the pool outside and lovely furnitures and your own kitchen. will certainly stay there again:)
This is a paradise ! Beautiful rooms with the soul of Provence. You really feel at home at Hostel de lÉtoile. And the owners are so warm, nice and very helpfull. I will return as soon as possible.
