Don't go here with out a car available. Westwood is so far out and public transportation doesn't really work that well in LA.

This place is horrible. I arrived as scheduled at 1pm, and no one was there. He did not show up until 6pm. The place was a mess. There were no lockers. I was given no sheets; only a sleeping bag. This place was disgusting. I have never before had a problem with hostelworld, but this was a very disappointing experience. I now understand why they make you pay in cash upfront. I ended up going to a different hostel after the first night.

The doors are usually unlocked, but that's okay since there is almost always someone in the house. The other guests were very friendly and I would recommend this hostel to anyone checking out Westwood or UCLA.
Totally unbelievable, no actual physical location for their address they send out on their main receipt. I took a taxi , cost me 50 bucks and wound up in the middle of nowhere, then called them, they had no working phone identifying themselves as a hotel. Hostelworld is a joke to list this fly by night operation on their website.

The location was fabulous, and I had a wonderful time with all of the other hostellers. Very safe and very fun, it was like a second home! Oh and the staff was very very good!
