Beautiful place with amazing friendly staff - a real refreshment after the small, characterless hotels of Heraklion. It's a bus journey from the main town but well worth the time spent. The Lodge has plenty of outside space to enjoy with a small pool and seating area.

i strongly recommend this hostel; it's so great both staffs and place. staffs are very nice, friendly and informative. place looks like a home. the decoration is so good, having it own characteristic. the location is pretty convenient to go anywhere: elafonissi, falassana and paleohora and easy to find. reception opens a bit late: after 9:30
we had an awesome time at summer lodge, its a little out of the way and if its your first time it can seem like you'll never find the place but we did after not much looking. The pool was awesome, right near the beach, the rooms were so nice, and felt like authentic old style greek. the view from the balcony was awesome, breakfast is a little expensive for what you get but its pretty good just the same, had an absolute blast.
