spent the last 4 weeks travelling in USA and Canada, staying in a variety of differnet hostels. this was definitely the worst. felt somewhat unsafe there. no security on house or rooms, or lockers. unclean. all felt a little shady.

I was told by several people before I even arrived in Anchorage that stuff gets stolen at Jason's hostel. I don't know if that's true, but we didn't want to take the chance. Another rumor, maybe true also, is that the folks at Jason's tend to party hardy and the atmostphere is not all that desireable. We didn't need that kind of experience so we stayed somewhere else. THanks.

Lively Hostel with friendly helpfull staff. Good central location.

We did not stay there because the room was not what we were promised. The smell was overwhelming and the room was filthy dirty. Why was I charged for the room when I did not stay there? When will I get my deposit and room change credited to my account becasue I did not stay there.
