This hostel was in a pretty dodgey part of town. If you don’t like mice then don’t stay here… because once the lights go out so do they…..one even managed to sneak into my backpack and hitch a ride to the next hostel! We recommend paying the extra 5 bucks and staying closer to the city.

definately NOT a place for WOMEN travelling alone. Carefull with the bed sheets, i got terribly beaten by bed bugs (fleas) ... apparently very common in Vancouver. Avoid this place if possible. The staff in the reception is very nice and helpful.

The staff was really nice and informative. The bathrooms were relatively clean, but we found that the youth hostel really stank. We changed rooms because the first bed we slept in squeeked loud with every move you make, whether just leaning or sitting on it, or moving your arm while you sleep.
