Glenelg Beach Hostel is housed in a beautiful heritage building dated back to 1878. With high lofty ceilings, period features and open fireplaces, our hostel is recognised for its unique character.
Centrally located in Adelaide\'s premier beachside suburb of Glenelg, our hostel is adjacent to the popular Jetty Rd, which is lined with restaurants, cafes, alfresco dining and shopping. The beach and Moseley Square are just around the corner with even more dining options as well as some great beachside pubs and nightlife.
We provide a complimentary light breakfast of toast and jams daily for all guests, as well as tea & coffee available 24hrs. We have a fully equipped communal kitchen, TV room with FREE DVD hire, laundry facilities and internet access including FREE WI-FI for all guests.
Our newly refurbished bar and beer garden offers a great happy hour with $5 imperial pints of beer and cider, $4 house spirits and $3 champagne from 5pm - 7pm! We provide entertainment on the weekends which brings a great social vibe between travellers and the locals. Huge beergarden to relax in the sunshine, otherwise cosy up by our open fireplace in the colder months.

Door kept blowing open so not very secure, no lockers.TV room was good very comfy with beanbags.Hostel kept clean. Bar and happy hour good.No bunk beds :-) Samantha, from England ~ 3rd Apr 2013

The hostel itself was fairly nice.The staff was friendly and it had a nice setup. The kitchen closed at 9pm, which was kinda early, and the breakfast only includes bread an jams (some hostels include cereal or juice). The area doesn't have a lot of laid back bars at night. Most were douchie with crappy pop music. The piercing studio across the street was awful. I liked this hostel, but wish I had split my visit with one in the city.
