Hotel Mangalemi in Berat, Albania

Hotel Mangalemi is one of the first hotels to open after the fall of socialism, and it offers its guests a comfortable and historic place from which to explore the Berat environs and castle. The hotel and restaurant are built up near the ruins of the old Palatial structure of the mighty Pasha, and is situated along the old stone walk up to the citadel.

The comfortable rooms, the great hospitality, and the more traditional woodwork in the dining areas offer the visitor a unique experience that echoes the old 'hans' or inns that once existed in the city of Berat. For unique dining experiences, there are a couple options: a scenic veranda on the upper floor, and two private dining areas with traditional seating around a hearth.
