Mandala is a small uniqe homey place in downtown Budapest.
We are located close to the main downtown tracks and sights (Danube-bank, Market Hall, Gellert-hill, curative thermal baths, museums).
Other advantages of the neighbourhood are: supermarket, grocery, pharmacy, post office, vegetarian restaurant, spiritual center, clubs, cafes.
The perfect hostel for those who are travelling alone and like to meet others...
Easy to socialise and hang together with an interesting mix of people.
Mandala is very laid back and easy going hostel. It feels if you are home away from home!
Here are NO BUNK BEDS!
NO CURFEW, NO LOCKOUT, and NO CHECK OUT TIME!

Mush-room: enchanting indian-arabesque milieu, ideal for individuals and couples up to 8 people.
Zen-room: There is no way to peace - peace is the way. A clear and bright 6-bed room, you can rest and free your mind after the city hustle.
Sorry, no groups please - maximum of 4 people per booking.
Domino double room: separate room, best for couples. With shared bathroom. It is next to the kitchen, so if you are a slug-a-bed type, consider that noises are audible.
Vintage room: this vintage style twin- ensuite room differs from the hostels general design, it is owned by a nice elder couple and located next door to us. You can also use all our facilities.
We do not take credit cards as payment! Please pay in cash on arrival. (We accept both Euro and Hungarian Forint)

The private double room is right next to the kitchen where you can hear all the discussions and ukulele playing and reggae versions of easy etc. The door could not be locked from the inside. Also the window gives straight to the smoking area. There was hardly any light in the room. Worst was the bed. It had plastic spikes in it. You had to make the bed on top of the bed spread.
