Welcome to Bunkhouse Cardiff. A quality hostel at the heart of Wales Capital City.
We are Cardiff's newest hostel located in a beautiful Victorian building situated on the oldest shopping street in the city centre. We are surrounded by a multitude of shops, bars and restaurants to suit anyone's tastes.
We encourage travelers from all over the world to come and stay with us and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that the hostel exudes.
IMPORTANT: Photographic I.D. required for all guests (Must be passport or driving licence)
The hostel comprises of three parts.
The Hostel & Dormitories
Key card access to rooms and toilets
Male / Female Only dorms aswell as mixed dorms
Comfy beds with linen supplied free of charge
Male / Female Only dorms aswell as mixed dorms
Hot Showers
Free Breakfast
Lockers for small personal items ( Padlock Required )
Towels Available from reception
Laundry service available
Laptops / Travel Adapters / Reading Lights / Hair Dryers / Straighteners & Irons all available to use free of charge

The Bunkhouse Bar
The Bunkhouse bar is open to the public so you will be able to mix with travelers and locals alike.
As a guest you receive a 10 % discount on everything at the bar as well as free entry to any events being held.
We have a wide range of beers & spirits that you can enjoy whilst listening to our eclectic mix of music.
Strictly over 18's
Half Penny Theatre
The Half Penny Theatre is a space that during the week is a guest only Kitchen / Cinema & Games room... All in one!!!
Basic kitchen facilities include :
Microwaves
Toasters
Toasty Maker
Kettles
A wide selection of movies are available for you to choose from that you can watch on our big screen projector.
Board games & Xbox 360 available are also available to play.

Bunkhouse was a great place to stay! Great rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. On top of that, a wonderful, individual atmosphere, especially in the bar/common area - such great decoration! Breakfast is included and it's all you really need to start the day. 5 minute walk from Cardiff Castle, maybe 10 minutes at most (unless you get distracted shopping) to the train station.
