Hostel Cork City in Cork, Ireland

Hostel Cork City was built in 2010 and opens from the 1st June to the 7th September each year. Due to the fact that we do not accept short term stays for 9 months of the year, we start each summer season without any reviews as Hostel World do not carry reviews for longer than 6 months.However in recognition of what we do Hostel World has picked us as the 5th Best hostel in Ireland for the summer season of 2011 and again in 2012.

Hostel Cork City has an unrivaled City Center location for the best in Live Music, Traditional Pubs and Bars, Cafes, Restaurants and Theaters.
It has received a 4**** rating from Failte Ireland and is made up of 10 separate fully furnished and fitted apartments.

All the apartments are fully furnished and have their own Kitchen with free Tea, Coffee,Toast, Jams and 24 hour access. They also have a 40 inch Plasma TV, multi region DVD, Sky TV, Free WiFi, Dining /TV area and Power Showers and ironing facilities.

All bedrooms are private, they all have their own double size wardrobes,bedside lockers, full length mirror, full size writing desk and come complete with a supply of fresh Linen and Towels.

Their is also 2 laundries in the building with full ironing facilities. All apartments have access to a private patio, smoking and BBQ area.

We are ideally located only 300 meters from Patrick Street which is the main shopping street in Cork City.
Hostel Cork City offer you the perfect self catering break at affordable prices to have a memorable holiday while discovering the City and surrounding areas.

We offer set down parking at our front door and ample on street parking within 20 meters. On street parking is free from 6pm to 8.30am each day and all day on Sunday. From 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday Cork City Council charge 2 Euro for 2 hours. Parking tickets are available at our reception and can be placed on your car the evening before to allow you sleep on later in the morning.

The regions main Tourist Office, Bishop Lucy Park, Beamish and Crawford Brewery and the English Market are less than 200 meters away. Saint Finbarrs Cathedral, Crawford Art Gallery, Cork Opera House and the City's new shopping area are only a 2/3 minute walk.

Washington Street which is the social and entertainment center of Cork with its many Bars, Cafes, Restaurants and Night Clubs is only 500 meters away.
University College Cork, Glucksam Gallery and the Cork City Museum are all only a 10 minute Walk.
The Marque live music venue is less than a 15 minute walk while the bus stop is only 100 meters away.

While staying with us you are so central that you will not need to use a Taxi.

Payment on arrival is by Cash only as we do not have Credit Card facilities. All the Major Banks and ATM machines are located within 200 meters.



To allow our housekeepers prepare your rooms we start our check ins at 1pm each day unless by prior arrangement. Rooms will only be held for 1 hour after your confirmed check in time, unless by prior agreement. Superior 4 Bed Private Room contains 2 double beds. Superior 3 Bed Private En-suite contains 1 double and 1 single bed. These rooms are strictly family rooms and will not be let to all male / female groups. Payment on arrival is by Cash only.
