Backpacking Club Hostel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

At Backpacking Club Hostel (previously Yellow House) we aim to provide that 'home away from home' feeling that can be hard to find in other hostels or guesthouses.

Utilising our well-sized property we can easily accommodate everyone from single backpackers to large groups. The rooms are well equipped with air-con, security lockers, hot water, TV and toilet. Our homely private rooms have laminate flooring and are very comfortable; the variety of dorms make it easy for lone backpackers to meet other like-minded travellers. Free wifi is available throughout the building. There are also computer terminals to use free of charge and there is complimentary coffee and orange juice all day. In the evenings we put on a buffet and free maps and information are available at the check-in desk.

Nearby are many sight seeing attractions; markets, museums, shopping centres and restaurants. We are merely a two minute walk to the Saigon City Park (23 September Park) which is a great place to participate in local sports and maybe even talk to young students who are looking to practice their English. Museums are in abundance around the area- with the controversial War Remnants Museum only 10 minutes away. Located just off Pham Nga Lao St, we are in the heart of the Ho Chi Minh's eating, shopping and dining district. The streets are bustling with cars, motos and people, but being positioned 20m down a side street gives the hostel an air of relaxation and calm. A great place to chill, a great base to explore and an even better spot to meet people.

Turn-by-turn instructions: From Pham Ngu Lao Street (the main street in District 1 and drop off point for most buses) walk 10 meters down De Tham Street (on the corner of Pham Ngu Lao and De Tham you will see Highlands Coffee and Allez Boo) on the right you will find a small alleyway. is the Delta Tours, turn right we are located down the alley on the left hand side. the Zoo and backpackers area (open bus).
From Airport: Ask for a taxi vinasun Adventure Tours, 267 De Tham Street, we are located down the small alleyway on the left hand side. A taxi from the airport should cost you no more than 6 dollas
