Absolutely the best location in Hollywood! Perfect location for premiers, star dedications and hand & foot print dedications. Virgin mega store often has CD signings by famous artists...only two minutes walk from world famous Chinese theatre, walk of fame, Kodak theatre, metro, Universal Studios in 5 minutes, sunset strip(10 minutes), Hollywood bowl, Hollywood sign nature hike with amazing panoramic view of Hollywood/ Los Angeles, Hollywood Heritage museum, Yamashero (best view in Hollywood & great mai tai's). Orange drive hostel is located on a quiet residential street in the middle of all the action! Orange drive is a great place for a calm sleep & rest, sheltering you from the noise of the busy streets just a few minutes walk from the hostel.
This 1920's 'rustic mansion' has a very unique and special history. In the 40's, 50's and 60's it was the hotel and home to many classic movie stars and celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Greg Cooper and many more. Clark Gable lived down the street and was a frequent visitor along with Rita Hayworth. We have kept up the charm of its history while catering to the budget traveller.
All transportation is only a two minute walk as well as most major Hollywood attractions. Walk to Runyon Canyon for a spectacular nature hike and panoramic view of the Hollywood sign.
Open 7am to 12midnight. (rooms are not guaranteed ready until 3pm) early check in fee may apply before 3pm.

Great location.Parking in the back was nice and $5/day was cheaper than any other public parking in the area, although we were lucky to get the last spot when we returned at night.We wouldn't have been happy to have paid for a spot and there not been one available.Our room was clean.The bed was average, and probably old.People were loud late at night and woke us up in the middle of the night, but overall a good experience. A very noisy place. There are some permanent residents (with little dogs). Often you have to wait till the shower is available. I was treated unfriendly at check-inn. The place is very clean.
