Pineapple Guesthouse comprises 20 private rooms, a ten bed dorm and a cafe.
The private rooms are all comfortably furnished with good mattresses! 19 of the rooms have air-conditioning, cable TV, en suite bathroom with hot shower, a safe, large fridge and free wifi access.
We have king (six foot beds), twin and triple rooms available. The triples consist of a double and a single bed, so two of you will have to share a bed. There's also one fan double room, not en suite but with TV, safe and fridge.
The dorm room opened in 2008 and has been very popular. It's a ten bed mixed dormitory. Each bed has its own fan but there's no aircon. Linen and towels are provided and changed regularly. There's a choice of hot and cold showers plus two sinks and a toilet within the dorm area with additional facilities in Pineapple Guesthouse. Each bed has its own light, electric socket for recharging your phones and Ipods and there's a good sized security locker for every person. There's even a communal fridge. It is cleaned daily.
Pineapple Cafe is below the dormitory and has good Thai food at cheap prices, a selection of English foods, a great breakfast menu plus reasonably priced beer and drinks. Please note that the cafe is not always open in low season but there are plenty of other eating and drinking establishments nearby.
Pineapple Guesthouse offers free internet to customers plus free wi-fi which usually reaches all the rooms. There's also a laundry service and book exchange. Airport pickups are available at an extra cost.
Pineapple Guesthouse is located in Karon Plaza. It's a relatively quiet area but with a number of bars, restaurants and shops in the vicinity there's plenty to keep visitors occupied. Karon Beach is just four or five minutes walk. It's a beautiful stretch of coastline though it can be busy in high season. You are also within walking distance of Kata and close enough to Patong for an exciting night out.
Steve and Lek, your English and Thai hosts, are very knowledgeable about travel within the area and are happy to help in whatever way possible. The staff are all very friendly and a that helps to create the friendly, sociable atmosphere at Pineapple.

Great place to stay in Phuket! I was so happy I stayed at Karon instead of Patong up the road with all the bars after hearing some of the war stories from other travelers. Nothing against Patong but for me Karon and the Pineapple Guesthouse is the place to be! Kenny, from USA ~ 18th Apr 2013

We stayed at Pineapple through some of December.The beds were hostel quality and there was no air con (in the dorms), though each bed was equipped with it's own fan which was satisfactory.The location is just minutes from the beach, the only draw back is having to ignore the all the aggressive tailor shops, massage girls, restaurants, and tuk tuk drivers harassing any westerners. For the price, I would definitely recommend Pineapple Guesthouse as the staff were so friendly and helpful. Trevor, from Canada ~ 6th Jan 2013
