Dont be fooled when People say Old San Juan is too touristic....its actually the preferred place for locals to go out...Not only because of architecture and the variety; but because of it safety. You can feel absolutely safe to go out and enjoy the night life even solo female travelers.
You can find Pampering Pina Coladas to 99 cents beer...
All equally in the enchanting illuminating Colonial atmosphere

Great location. Had a great time even if the checkout hours can be a little inconvenient - if you want them to hold your bags its only between 9 and 11 am. This hostel has a great location, but otherwise I wasn't impressed.The woman who checked me in seemed annoyed that guests were there needing her attention and many times there was no one at the desk at all.One shower had a slow drain, so I was standing in six inches of water by the end another had only cold water.My friend and I spent four nights in a nice private room, but had to move to a four-person dorm the last night.The dorm was cramped and we had to make up the beds ourselves.
