Tengchong International Youth Hostel is located in Yuquanyuan(Jade Spring Garden), the largest private garden in the west of Yunnan. The house, built in 2007, is all wooden inside and outside. Our private ensuites are actually too good for a hostel. Backpackers also find cozy dorms here. The beds in dorms are 6.6*3.9ft, exactly same size as those in private ensuites.

We also have plenty of space for entertainment and sociality. Come have a beer or wine or coffee in the bar; check out our collection of western movies (all HD 720p);take part in the bonfire party in the garden and watch the Lisu ethnic performance for free. If you need some private and peaceful moments the library is where to be. Above the library is a very nice balcony from which you overlook the whole garden.

We speak English. We make decent coffee. We rent bikes, cars, tents and sleeping bags. We offer English-spoken tour guide. Yet a lot more we can do for you...
