Welcome to Toronto's Award Winning Hostel and it's most unique:
Theres a 10 ft Mohawk Indian in the lounge, a totem pole on the patio and each room is named after a great Canadian (everything from Bryan Adams to Neil Young). Every morning there is a free pancake breakfast and a choice of tea or coffee.
Located right downtown in the heart of Torontos Entertainment District the hostel is a short walk to the CN Tower, the Air Canada Centre, the Theatre District, and some of Torontos best shopping districts, bars, and restaurants.
We offer accommodation to suit everyone from private rooms (single and double), to quad rooms (4 people to a room), to female only rooms. All the rooms are spacious with thick, comfortable mattresses and extra big wooden bunk beds. Fresh linen and towels are provided for free.
The hostel also offers 24 hour reception, air conditioning, a free pancake breakfast, free wireless internet, a large outdoor patio, an 18 seat cinema, a fully equipped kitchen and day trips to Niagara Falls.
At Canadiana you never need to feel alone. Every night we organize an event from pub crawls to barbeques, served on our outdoor patio. Once a week we visit the comedy club that Mike Myers, Jim Carey, and John Candy (all originally from Toronto) started their careers.

Friday: Wine & Cheese Night (free)
Saturday: Pub Crawl (free entry at all bars, $2.50 mixed drinks & $12 pitchers)
Sunday: Movie Night with Free Popcorn in our Hostel Cinema.

By Airport Shuttle: Take the Airport Shuttle Bus to the Hyatt Regency on King St. The Canadiana is one block North of the Hyatt Regency on King at 42 Widmer St. Travel Time: 50m, Total Cost: $27.95.
By Public Transit: Board the 192 bus at the airport and take to the terminal 'Kipling'. From Kipling take the green subway line Eastbound to St.George (transfer station). At St. George transfer (easily) to the yellow line Southbound to St.Andrew. Get off at St.Andrew and walk west along King St. to Widmer St. then North on Widmer St. to #42 (the hostel). Travel time: Approx. 1h, Total cost: $3.00/adult, $2.00/senior, $0.75/child.
By Taxi: Travel Time: Approx. 20m, Total Cost: Approx. $60.
From the bus terminal:
On foot: Exit main entrance onto Bay Street and turn right. Walk South on Bay St. until Richmond St. and turn Right. Continue West along Richmond until Widmer St. Turn left on Widmer St.(we are #42). Travel Time: 20m.
By Public Transit: Exit the main entrance and walk a 1/2 block South to Dundas St. & Bay St. Take the #6 bus South (ask the driver for a transfer ticket) and get off at Queen St. Then take streetcar #501 West and get off at John St. Go South on John St. and take the first right onto Richmond St. then take the next left onto Widmer St. We're #42. Travel Time: 20m, Total Cost: $3.00/adult, $2.00/senior, $0.75/child.
By Taxi: Travel Time: 10m, Cost: Approx. $12.
From Union (Train) Station:
On Foot: Exit main entrance of Union Station and walk Northbound on Bay St. till Adelaide St. Follow Adelaide St. West to Widmer St. Turn Right and you'll see us (#42). Travel Time: 15 m.
By Public Transit: Take the subway Northbound to St. Andrew (one stop). Walk West along King St. and turn right onto Widmer St. (we are #42). Travel Time: 15m, Total Cost: $3.00/adult, $2.00/senior, $0.75/child.
