The St. Clair Hotel was built in 1911 by Henry Pybus, Captain of the Empress of Japan Canadian Pacific Steamships. The hallways depict pictures of passenger liners, giving the hostel a nautical theme.
Guests describe our rooms as quaint, cozy and a little bit old-fashioned. We think so too! At the St Clair Hostel our rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. Hostel rooms are available as private double, triple, and quad occupancy, or as 4 bed shared dorms.
Bathroom facilities are shared, and your private room is equipped with its own sink. Of course, all towels and bed linens are provided for your convenience during your stay.
We are proud to offer a newly upgraded high speed WI-FI network, offering free, reliable and fast wireless internet throughout the building, including all guest rooms.

on our floor, dirty dishes stayed during 5 days, and nobody in the staff take the responsability to clean it... i know it's not their job but after 5 days do it!... The showers was never clean during 5 days, always the same hairs inside and old soap. No kitchen, just a small and very dirty microwave, and the same for the fridge. room was dirty, and too small no activity is organized inside the backpacker, no organisation for booking extra night.
