Bet el Kerem Guesthouse in Aswan, Egypt

The local ferry - within walking distance from the guesthouse - brings you in 10 minutes in Aswan centre.when arriving to Bet el Kerem, the ferry location on the west bank is next to the Alexander ferry, you will see the Aswan train station across the main road (Corniche). This is the local ferry, it takes about 5 minutes to cross (get off and walk up the dust trail and stay to your right and a few minutes will take you to Bet el Kerem. The ferry ride is only 1 Egyptian pound. Don't ask the guy collecting the money, he will tell you it is 5 or 10 pounds/person. just put your coins down and get into the boat that the locals are sitting in. It leaves every 15 to 20 mins. or until the boat is full.
