Cedar Ridge is located just 20 minutes from the International airport. We can collect you for a very reasonable flat fee, with prior arrangements via email. or telephone, this is much cheaper than taking the airport taxi.
However, if you wish to hire a car: CEDAR RIDGE is located just off the main road heading westerly towards Negril in a beautiful residential mountain area called BOGUE HILL.
Driving: Turn right on exiting the airport (around the roundabout) keep on the main with the sea to your right at all times. Keep right at the KFC in town. Drive through four traffic lights then bear left. Drive through one traffic light then turn right. Drive through two traffic lights and at the third turn left. Take second right up the hill and then take the first right into Cedar Ridge.Transportation in Jamaica is fairly easy:
Around Montego Bay all public transportation is by route taxis, these are shared cars that travel a specified route. They can be booked privately (more expensive) or shared with members of the public (fare is specified). These vehicles should have a RED PLATE.
When traveling to the hostel ask for the BOGUE HILL TAXI.
You will travel westerly FROM THE City on the main highway. From the BOGUE leg of the highway you will turn LEFT into the Bogue Community and the PALM BAY intersection. (if traveling from the West - Negril, you will turn RIGHT from the Bogue Road).
