Directions to John's Cozy Rooms, Berlin
From Zoo-station to us take a short-way ticket for €1.40. From anywhere else in Berlin take a 2-hour one-way-ticket, valid for all Berlin for €2.30, or a pack of 4 tickets for €8.
From Zoo Station
Take the underground 'U9' (two levels down) in the direction of Osloer Strasse. Get off after 2 stops at Turmstrasse. Take the exit in the middle of the station. (In total there are 3 exits).Walk up the stairs and turn left when you get outside. Walk along Turmstrasse, on the left-hand side of the street. At Ottostrasse turn right, cross Turmstrasse and walk along Oldenburger Strasse. At the first corner, you turn right again, into Waldenserstrasse. We're at number 30 on the right.
From 'Hauptbahnhof'
Take the exit 'Europa Platz', which is in northern direction. When you come out of the hall cross the street. From the other side, take the bus 'TXL', which goes in direction to Tegel = TXL airport.
or take Bus 245, what comes first. The TXL is quicker, but longer to walk, while the 245 takes longer, but less to walk.
If you take the TXL, get off at Turmstrasse station. Walk back along Turmstrasse in the direction the bus came, on the right side of the street. You'll cross Wilhelmshavener Strasse, Bredowstrasse, and Jonasstrasse. Turn right on to Oldenburger Strasse. At the first crossing is our street, Waldenser Strasse. There you turn right again. We're at number 30!
If you take the 245 bus, get off at Rathaus Tiergarten. There you turn right. The first crossing is Turmstrasse. Cross it, go into Bremer Strasse and turn left into our street, Waldenserstrasse. We're at number 30, just ring the bell!
From Tegel airport
Take the TXL bus as above.
From Schoenefeld airport
Take the 171 bus for one stop (or walk about 6 minutes to Schoenefeld train station) From there, you can take the Airport-Express train from platform number 3. It leaves every 30 minutes from there and takes 20 minutes to get to Zoo Station (Zoologischer Garten). Then follow directions as above.
From the Central Bus station 'ZOB'
Take the left exit (behind the buses) and pass the Cosy Car Wash. Turn left there and walk for about 2 minutes along that street, until the underground station Kaiserdamm (U2) . Take the U2 a few stops in the direction of Pankow, until Zoologischer Garten, which is the Zoo Station. Then follow directions as above
By car
If you come on the Autobahn from the south, follow the sign to the Zentrum ('Center'). As soon you see 'Tegel' go to 'Tegel' and then as soon as you see 'Wedding' go to 'Wedding'. Exit the highway at Beusselstrasse. From there, drive to the direction of 'Tiergarten'. Cross the bridge. Turn in the first street at the left side Siemensstrasse. Turn right the next street, which is Waldstrasse. Then turn left at Waldenserstrasse. Cross 2 streets, Emdener and Oldenburger, and our place is there at number 30!
