Getting to McCarthy:
Lancasters is located in the center of Downtown McCarthy.
From Glennallen you drive the Edgerton Highway about 45 miles to Chitina. From Chitina, the McCarthy road is a 60 mile maintained gravel road. You can not drive all the way into McCarthy, the road ends at a parking lot 1 mile from town, on the other side of the Kennicott River. The walk into town is easy, and there are shuttles running every hour from 8am to 6pm.

Direct flights between Chitina and McCarthy 3 times a day.
