Directions to Oak Hotel, Tokyo
Please print out this Google Map provided by hostel world.com and bring it with you. It could be tricky to find our place if you don't bring this accurate map. Many people actually get lost because they didn't bring the map provided.
Thank you very much for your cooperation in advance.
From the Ueno station to our place, it takes 10 to 15 minutes on foot. Of course if you bring your big suite case and look for our place on the map often makes it longer.
From the Narita airport to Ueno station, take Keisei Sky Liner which is an express train to the Ueno station. From the Tokyo station, take JR Yamanote line to the Ueno station.
From the Keisei Ueno station:
--Leave through the Main exit and turn left. (When you leave through the main gate you will see placed map ahead, you can check our location on that Map attached on the wall in front of Main gate) Go to the JR Ueno station and pass through it to the Asakusa exit (or take a subway Ginza line for Asakusa from Ueno station and get off at the Inaricho station which is just 1 stop away from Ueno station) You will see the elevated highway ahead at the exit. Seeing the highway, walk for seconds and you will find 'Fedex Kinko's' and 'Sunkus' across the Showa-dori. Pass by the Fedex Kinko's along the Asakusa-dori. Keep walking on the left side of road. After about 5 minute-walk, you will see the Tokyo Metro Inaricho station. ( At Inaricho crossing and station you can check our location on the map placed there) Cross the Kiyosubashi-dori near the station and walk along the Asakusa-dori. Walk for about 2 minutes(1.5block) and you will find a sign for the hotel placed on the right side of the footpath.
The opposite side of the sign is Japanese paper craft shop in Tokyo Matsuya Building (on your left) and the hotel is located behind that building.
Follow the arrow on the sign and you will see a brick building at the end of alley. This building is the Oakhotel.
