Getting home Options:
1.- Bus Shuttle Tur Bus or Centropuerto. 1,500 pesos and you can get off at Pajaritos Metro Station or Los Heroes. Ask 1st. And then continue
to Metro Baquedano (Plaza Italia area). Both Properties are 2 blocks from there.
Metro ticket: You need to buy the BIP Card. Cost 1,000 pesos plus 1,000 for usage.Rechargeable.

2.- Avoid the many taxi drivers outside Customs. The are a rip off. Choose the Taxi Oficial kiosk outside customs for a nice and reliable ride home. Prive average 13,000 pesos but nice and comfortable taxis

3.- Transvip. Details below. The vans are always shared, safer, expedite and cheaper, specially for 2 travellers. They will ask you if you want a pick up when you leave home.

Transvip:
1.- Stop at the Transportation booth after Duty Free
inside luggage area, or after Customs in main hall (Official Ground Transportation) and
make your booking on 'TransVIP'
Cheapest rate is $3,800 pesos for 'Santiago Centro' area. This is not
Providencia. These are shared vans, door-to-door service, very safe,
reliable and low cost US$ 6 per person. Remember you go 'before' Plaza
Italia area, as 'after' is higher price.
The ride to home takes 45 minutes, depending how many customers the van
needs to drop

Jose Estay will leave a white envelope with the keys under your name in buildings Reception.
Staff at Front Desk are not BellBoys or Concierge.
They do not speak English and their primary duty is the security of the building.

Special travel tip:
On the plane: If flying into Chile from USA take a seat on window 'A', to see Aconcagua. If travelling from Argentina, Brazil or Europe, seat on the right 'J'
After Passport Check-in: Pick up all types of brochures at the Tourist Kiosk!!! and plenty maps.
Also take advantage of the Duty Free great bargains. Specially cheap cigarettes, alcohol and perfumes.
Baggage store available 24 hrs. 2,000 pesos per bag

Expect leghty waiting in Immigration and Customs. Nationals from USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand must pay the Reciprocity tax, before passing through Immigration.

ATMs have a 'Foreigner/Extranjero option. You only get pesos, no dollars. Maximum withdrawl per day is 100,000 pesos (US$ 200)
