Directions to The Ginger Monkey, High Tatras

If your coming from Krakow, it is best to get a train or bus to Zakopane. From here you can catch a bus direct to our village Zdiar. The bus company is called Strama Bus and leaves twice a day at 9.17 and 3.17, it takes abut an hour to get us and is heading for Poprad.

The other option is to get a minibus which leave directly opposite the bus station and go to the border Lysa Polana, when you get there cross the border by foot and catch the next bus heading towards Poprad. It will go past Zdiar, and takes about 20 minutes.

When you see the first petrol station get off and head for the church entrance, you will see us about 30 meters away. Buses to Lysa Polana from Zakopane leave around every 40 minutes.

From Poprad catch a bus at the main bus station which is next to the train station. The service to Zdiar leaves from platforms 4 and 5 heading towards Lysa Polana which is the Polish border town.

In Zdiar look for the road sign for the petrol station (500 meters) and get off at the next bus stop. Then walk to the petrol station and then to the church where you will find the hostel.
