perfectly decent hostel. it's a bit of a trek from the far side of town but near the station. staff all spoke english and seemed friendly enough, room was clean and had a balcony which was cool, ensuite was pretty decent. but check-out at 10 wasn't fun!

Unpersonal. It's a big hostel with small hallways. Kind feels like prison. Is as well quite far from the centre (40min centre, 30min train). The beds made a lot of noise. Rooms were clean though. Price is not too bad. I think it's a good option if you can't find anything else.

It was an okay, cheap place to stay and offered breakfast which was great. However, the directions given were horrible and the service was bad. There was a charge for sheets and a charge of 2.50 euro for using a credit card to pay which is pretty ridiculous! I did not feel very safe either as the place was so huge!

We actually booked the A&O hostel closer to the train station, but they sent us over to this one. Once we realiyed it was right by a train station it was alright, though. Really clean, great staff. I'd recommend it and stay there again!

The location of this hostel is not a problem you can use the tram car to get anywhere. Look into buying the partner ticket if u have a group 2 or larger.
This hostel was a good choice. The woman at the desk downstairs was really nice and helpful. There was a cafe there and computers to use the internet. I was pleasently surprised by the quality of the 6 bed mixed einsuite. It was nice and clean and had nice character. The bathroom there also was clean and functioned perfectly.

First night at the A&O Hostel in Munich was a Thursday night. Despite the signs that said you must be quiet after 10 pm, there was a very loud dance party going on for a few hours afterward. Not participating in the party, we didn't care for the noise from it.
Location is convenient - just 3/4 mile from the Hauptbahnhof (Main train station). There are a couple S-bahn stations that will take you a little closer, or a street car/tram that will get you even closer.

very clean place, looks like recently renovated. nothing special, but is in a good condition, plus not far away from main train station. good to stay overnight. for longer stays looks a bit too boring
