Albareda Youthhostel in Oaxaca, Spanje

All of the staff were really friendly and could answer any questions I had about what to see and how to get around in Barcelona. We visited this hostel for a few days in Barcelona during a "puente," where we didn't have any class. This is hands down the best hostel I have ever been to. Character: The hostel is well decorated. It is modern, has a kitchen that is available to its guests, and a TV room. Hostel guests are friendly and spend time with each otherit's mostly young people, but there were one or two people over 30 at the hostel. I stayed at this hostel for 5 nights. It's one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in. The bathrooms are very roomy, and very clean, and the showers are awesome. There are lots of activities that are offered, and the staff are the friendliest staff I've encountered (I had to go to the hospital and the staff were SUPER helpful) Although not the CHEAPEST option in the area, DEFINITELY worth the extra. The ONE problem I had with this hostel was the location, its located about a 5 minute walk to a Bo-Tahlia, from Australia ~ 14th Aug 2011

I was just in Barcelona for 4 days and I was travelling alone. This hostel allows me to meet a lot of interesting people and to go out with them at night to party. We arrived to find they had made an error with our booking and only had 1 bed left for the 2 of us for the first night.But they handled the situation perfectly and did everything to accommodate us by making a temporary bed for the first night and were very apologetic and genuine.The hostel is clean, secure, very welcoming and while the location is a little away from the very centre, I would recommend it to anyone staying in Barcelona.
