For those that spent their 20's traveling and sleeping in hostels and are now wanting to help your kids catch the travel bug, this is a GREAT place to start.It was my 9 year old daughter's first real experience.She was a bit nervous, but ended up loving it, especially meeting others at breakfast.She even liked the bed better than in the very expensive hotel we had just come from.She loved that I could relax on the couch while she slept.She is now a pro at using the Metro. Aunt Bea's B&B was ideal for my daughter's and my overnight in Washington.The innkeepers are organized and friendly, offering helpful extras, enjoyable conversation through the delicious and fortifying breakfast. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water, (although the faucets are in need of attention). If traveling with 2, this is a big upgrade from the "dorm" hostel for very little money. Amazing value for what you pay.Same price as all the other hostels in D.C., but you get privacy, breakfast, and are very close to a Metro. Breakfast is great and consisted of a very nice fruit bowl, yogurt and granola.OJ or coffee.Hard boiled eggs, turkey bacon, and cinnamon raison toast with jams.Super healthily, fresh, and all served restaurant style.He will modify if needed.I can eat A LOT, and I always left feeling full.
