It's difficult to know what to compare this with in Africa, having not travelled too widely across the continent. Anyway, it's a beautiful setting with friendly and helpful staff. It is very remote and difficult to get to. Ordering food means a long wait, and there's little alternative locally, but is of good quality. Michael, from Hong Kong ~ 16th Jun 2012

This hostel was very "homey" and made you feel at ease, the location was two minutes from an amazing beach although very secluded and away from any other amenities but great for a relax hostel and romantic cheap getaway.The rooms were fairly decent, i didn't have hot water and wasn't stocked on toilet paper etc but overall the complimentary breakfast was good and the food to order there was great and didn't have any need to venture out if you didn't want to.
