The front service guy was really friendly. But the location was not good, and the fact it has "pub" in the name is pretty damn misleading. One of the most friendly staff I've ever seen in a hostel. Needed to "kill time" while wait fro a friend aftre my check out and evrybody was super nice to me, offering me a place to sit and tgis kind of stuff. Location is not too bad, is not dangerous, but you need a bus from the subway station. The bed was not super comfy, but for the price is good and the showers and bathroom were clean. the shuttle is just running until 10o\'clock...the hostel looks next to all the sweet houses like a box, but we didn\'t had so many expactions and that was good so. staff was both friendly and unfriendly, depents who you meet. we had a 6bedroom..was really ok..bathroom and shower was clean..had a mouse in the room..just good that we weren\'t afraid of mice, she just ate our candy :( but at the reception they called someone to get ride of it. easy to reach public transportation. Lots of good eating places within walking distance.I had a rent car, and parking was good and free.I had to leave early in the morning, so did not have breakfast or coffee.My real complaint was the uncomfortable matress.And the taxes were not explained well online.I paid 10% down, and then the entire amount on arrival.Explanation was taxes, so a bit shocked.Overall, fairly nice for a hostel. Adequatly clean,but place was seedy.It was full at $40/night with 6 in a small room,no place for a bag. No mattress pads on the plastic crinckly noisy/ sweaty mattress. The late arrivals tried to be quiet but kept the door open to hall for light where the pooltable/loud conversation poured in.Room needed a small reading light.The place should put some effort into removing the depressing aspects with the 240 dollars a night for a 1/4 the space of a luxury hotel provides. It is definitely a nice hostel. The location is okay. You can reach the hostel very easily by public transport. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get to Boston center. Just around the corner is a Dunkin Donuts, a great place to get some breakfast. The staff was average, they could have been friendlier. I would recommend the hostel.
