Great location, tucked away in a small alley near Dongchang metro station in Pudong. Staff were great, went out of their way to help me print a document I needed despite not having a printing service. Cute courtyard set-up. A shame that they don't serve breakfast, but there are lots of cheap local food options just outside the door, and Sbux not too far away for those who prefer that. This Hostel really made a good impression - Location was awesome, a bit hard to find right away though (lays a bid hidden in a backstreet). The view from most rooms was really cool, you could stare right at the WFC + the construction site of the new Skycraper they are building. Cleanliness of the rooms was ok-ish, some furniture was a bit old (or looked like that due the moist air). Staff was friendly and helpful, no let downs there. This place was extremely not clean, no toilet paper and the shower and bathroom weren’t cleaned during the 3 days I was there. The staff was not that helpful and the location is not so good. Yael, from Israel ~ 2nd Aug 2012

This was a very pleasurable stay for me in Shanghai! This hostel is very well run, clean and in great condition. The private lockers, and daily cleaning/bed making made it feel very hotel-like. I met some great people and would recommend this place to anyone! Sergio, from USA ~ 30th Jul 2012

Good location on the Pudong subway line (one hour to the airport, Y6) and rooms are cleaned daily. The hostel is more Chinese, so it gets quiet earlier and people start their day earlier in the morning. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are great breakfast stalls if you go to the end of the main alley, turn left and go through the gate. The only comment I have is about the beds: full Chinese style, which means very very hard. The best hostel I have lived at in China! The location is perfect, close to bus and subway. Right in the heart of the financial district area. Food and convenience stores everywhere. Very clean!!! That's something you can only hope for in hostels! The staff may seem unpleasant, but they are really nice. They have laundry machine that you can borrow and other facilities.
