The people working there are great and helpful, but the showers are on the third floor, a kind of terrace, so it is quite uncomfortable to get there, there are few and they can get quite crowded. The location is good. Veronica, from Argentina ~ 7th Jul 2012

The staff were very hospitable. One of the girls, (Karen?) took about an hour and a half of her time to book me train tickets after they were sold out at the station. Another of the staff members casually taught us how to play Mahjong games. The late night staff was also super helpful when I checked in at 5am. They also did not mind helping correct my Chinese. The hostel is very clean and very well decorated, which makes it a pleasant place to sit and chat with other travelers. The wifi is only available on the first floor, but there is plenty of seating so you can enjoy a coffee while you're checking your email. The staff was friendly and nice, although there were never enough people for check-in or tour booking so there was always a long wait.
