First the hostel didn't have the booking reference that I made on hostels.com. I had the confirmation email, but since they didn't have it they wouldn't accept the deposit I made. It was an average hostel, a bit grungy to be honest. I accidentally slept in ten minutes and the owner charged me ten dollars. It would be fine if there had been any sign saying this would happen but I was never told there were fees for late checkout and he was quite rude about it.
