Attached night club is pretty loud, so guests should be prepared. Room wasn't well cleaned (old pizza under the bed), but overall the facility was quite good.

Top notch. It was a nit hectic while i was there but the dude on reception was a champion. The area could be considered a bit rough but thats just the nature of where you are, and the Mexican food along Mission St. is awesome.

my comments for Elements is "not bad" for a Back packer, First of all, the room and bed is clean. bathroom and shohwer equipment is well. the location is also well for us, because L14 and L49 bus stop is very close to hostel, bus can easyly take you to fisher men's whrase, gold gate bradge, also, if you want go to airport, just walk through 3 block that you can get to Metro station. about security, i was being a little bit worry , because 1'st floor and top floor is a Public house, and us

Pro: - The hostel is located right next to a nightclub, so you can be sure there is something to do. - The people there were helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. - Each bed has a locked drawer you can use to secure small bags or important items, they also have a secure room if you need a large bag secured. - 13 co-ed rooms are clean, bedding is clean, they provide blankets and pillows, etc, all clean as far as I could tell. con - the rooms are next to

This hostel was good, but not in a very nice district, and a bit out of the way for a normal sightseeing holiday

Really rude staff, refused to put batteries into smoke alarm, and also elevator hasn't been inspected for years according to a certificate in it. Area is run down and rough to say the least, though good for nightlife.

I stayed at Elements on a monday and tuesday night. the good: quiet save for other sleepers snores, AMAZING location, staff was very helpful in giving bus/bart directions, tons of cheap food nearby, linens included, clean bathrooms and common areas. the bad: I hear it's very noisy on the the weekends, I checked in really late and all the pillows and blankets were in the wash so I had to wait for the next day to get a wamer and more comfy sleep, They thought I had checked out after the first ni

Hostels are as hostels do. This one was all I expected it to be, although I had gripes about desk staff not being at the desk at checkout time and the occasional cold shower.

Need a community T.V. room, more computers and pay phones. When things are reported to be broken, it takes awhile to be fixed or not at all.
