I am the guest from China. the location is pretty good, actually my wife and I walk from China town to the hostel and it's totally fine for young people. and it takes around 5 minutes from one stop of the cable car California line and 5 minutes from one stop of bus no. 19. around the corner, there is quite big Convenience store. the room smells and it seems like there is a musical studio downstairs and it's noisy in the evening but everything ends before the midnight. yecheng, from China ~ 27th Nov 2012

Generally, we were pretty satisfied with the hostel, its cleanliness and service. What we did not like was that our window, directly accessible from the shared inner "courtyard", actually a roof, could not be locked and that we had a mouse in our room coming from the corridor. Admit it. They don't have a common place such as kitchen, TV/computer room whatever. Which means the hostel is not likely the other hostel. But you can use a microwave and computer on free. Each room has a TV and sink so they don't have to have common area. Also I was very surprised only housekeeper was cleaning the room but also they leave a new tower on my bed everyday. Location is not bad even you'll have a plan by walk. Moreover, it's easy to go nightclub or hop the bar near hostel. Insoo, from South Korea ~ 26th Oct 2012

Good location. I had a single room which actually had a sink in it, which was very nice. Didn't have to wait for the bathroom. Staff was not incredibly helpful, so I figured things out on my own. I stayed in a private room with shared bath and was very satisfied. The guy who checked us in was really nice and funny. The room was clean, as we're the shared bathrooms. I never had to wait for someone to get out, which really surprised me. We were right by the stairs, so I thought its be loud, but it wasn't. Great location, with excellent food and thrift stores nearby, not to mention very walk able to most major parts of town. Be careful which way you walk back at night and all is well. stuff was good in face to face. but telephone support was so bad. I can't speak English very well, but I could book other hostel by telephone. but when I called this hostel, this lady said "I can't. there is no available."and hung up soon......... then I went to hostel ,and I found available room...... huuum, but room was ok. bath room was a little dirty. miho, from Japan ~ 1st Sep 2012
